A short film based on the children’s song by Kadia Molodowsky, produced by Sadot Films and the Kibbutz Movement Alliance.
One day, the children Peretz and Zerah went for a walk up the mountain. On their way, they encountered a lone goat and decided to take it with them. After a while, the children and the goat encountered a horse and wagon, so the three of them climbed onto the wagon and continued their trip. When they reached the top of the mountain, they found the owners of the lost goat, the horse, and the wagon. After a brief negotiation, the children returned home, accompanied by the goat. The song was translated from Yiddish by Nathan Alterman and published in Molodowsky’s collection of translated poems, “Open the Gate”.
