An episode in the series “All the Beginnings” edited by Michal Shalman, which the Israel Film Service produced, describes the story of Aliya and the absorption of the international flamenco dancer Sylvia Duran. Siliva came to Israel as a volunteer artist during the Yom Kippur War, to perform for soldiers at the front and decided to make Aliya to Israel. In the episode, she presents the business she has to deal with and how her class tries to bring the flamenco dance to the potential Israeli consciousness by holding performances in kibbutzim and around the country.
