A documentary film produced by the Israeli Film Service marking the 11th anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem.
Until the end of the 19th century, the Jews lived in poverty within the dense walls of Jerusalem, beyond which dangers lies. The film presents the story of those who led the departure from the walls and founded the first Jewish settlements outside the walls of the Old City, amongst them are Mordechai Salomon and his son Yoel Moshe Salomon, members of the Yellin, Rivlin, and Guttman families, and Moshe Montefiore.
