The film Second Childhood, produced by the Israel Film Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption, describes the difficulties the new immigrants face in learning the Hebrew languageThe film documents three months in which new immigrants from a wide variety of countries and different languages gather under one roof to learn the Hebrew language The new immigrants learn sentences and words that should help them in their everyday life They testify that they feel as if they have returned to their childhood and that they hope to quickly learn the language to quickly integrate into society and easily find a job.
