A documentary film produced by the United Jewish Appeal.
In 1971, 24 Jews from the Soviet Union took over the Upper Soviet Public Inquiries Room, demanding that Jews in the country be allowed to immigrate to Israel. They risked their lives, families, money, and work to do so. 4 of them were sent to labor camps and the rest were deported to Israel, among them director and screenwriter Efraim Sevela. This film follows the protagonists of the story who came to Israel and other aliyah stories of people from the Soviet Union.
