The Menashe Mountains Tunnel is inaugurated at a ceremony in which the wife of the Minister of Trade and Industry, Shoshana Sapir, cuts the ribbon. The new tunnel is 160 meters below the Menashe mountain ridge, 6300 meters long, and aims to transport water from Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek to Kibbutz Ramot Menashe, costing 5 million Lira. For the works to be completed, the tunnel must be sealed with concrete to prevent leakage of water. Laborers are seen working on site.
