The Ministry of Welfare trained 11 blind women in various crafts. The courses graduates weave, type on a typewriter, and read Braille. Under the auspices of the Chicago Blind Jews Association, a workshop for blind women, named Ora, is established in Netanya. At the buildings cornerstone ceremony, speeches are given by Director-General of the Ministry of Welfare Moshe Bar Sela and a representative of the United States embassy.
