Early in the morning, Jewish believers gather on the roof of Davids Tomb on Mount Zion for a Birkat Hachama blessing ceremony, held once every 28 years. When the sun rises behind the misty Mount of Olives, the participants blow a shofar, bless, wear Tefillin, and dance and sing with Torah scrolls. In city streets, Ultra-Orthodox Jews hold similar celebrations.
