President Levi Eshkol Continues his Official Visit to Africa

Prime Minister Levi Eshkol visits African countries. In Congo-Leopoldville, he meets with General Mobuto, who conducts a military demonstration in his honor with all the military unites including an air show and parachute display. The soldiers in the Congo hold Israeli Uzi rifles. In Malagash (Madagascar), an evening of folklore with the President of the Republic is held, and he dances the Hora with Mrs. Eshkol, then a friendship agreement is signed between the states. In Uganda, Eshkol visits a central camp of the army where traditional dance performances are displayed. Uganda chief of staff dances with Miriam Eshkol. Eshkol and the president of Uganda, Milton Obote, sign a commercial and cultural agreement between the states. Cluster leaves Uganda after a military ceremony. In Nairobi, the entourage is welcomed by the Vice President, and by the children of the Israeli Colony in Kenya who cheer for him at the airport. In the presidential palace, he meets the president Jomo Kenyatta, and receives a gift. At the end of the political meetings Eshkol tours nature reserves. After a three-week trip, the Prime-Minister and his entourage return to Lod Airport and are welcomed by ministers, Knesset members, and diplomatic staff.
