Policemen at the Sheraton Hotel in Tel Aviv talk on the radio and prepare for the arrival of West Germanys first Ambassador to Israel Rolf Friedemann Pauls. At the Nahalat Yitzhak Cemetery in Givatayim, a group of demonstrators gathers by the monument for victims of Treblinka extermination camp, in protest against the ambassadors arrival. A ceremony is held, and a hazan sings. Some of the protesters are Holocaust survivors with numbers tattooed on their arms. Back at the hotel, workers of the German embassy that arrived in Israel swim in the pool.
