"We Who Remained" is a journey into Jewish life in post World War II Poland between the ruins of the Warsaw Ghetto, the uncovering of the Ringelblum Archive, and the efforts to preserve memory, alongside the first attempts to rebuild community and life. Through children’s homes, youth movements, cooperative factories, cultural institutions, and Jewish theater, the film portrays survivors searching for relatives, restoring a sense of identity, and creating a new future out of loss. Moving between the memory of destruction and the power of renewal, the film traces a Jewish world struggling to rise again.
