An experimental film, produced by Merkaz Hahasbara (Israeli Film Service) and dedicated to the battles in Shaar HaGai during the War of Independence.
Sixteen years after the War of Independence, Nature slowly covers its traces. But on the road to Jerusalem, in the place where armored convoys attempted to break through to the besieged city, the remains are still clearly visible. Communication trenches, barbed wire fences, wrecked armored vehicles, and archive photos from Jerusalem during the war are the main cast in this film. Without narration, they tell the story of one of the wars most iconic battlefields.
(Director and scriptwriter: David Greenberg; cinematographer: Adam Greenberg; soundtrack composer: Yehezkel Braun; music performed by: the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra)
