Footage shows the port of Haifa in days that preceded current maritime realities. Ships signal their need to the port by use of lights. some use steam engines. Israeli maritime activity, later reduced, is here at its height, with many Israeli ships manned by Israeli sailor sailing the seas. Many actions of repair and cleaning are done manually. The Dagon silos are amidst construction, as is the Kishon Harbour. We are also witnessing development in the field of land transportation, when diesel locomotives are unloaded from a ship and carried away by a steam locomotive. In conclusion, the film presents possible perils: fire and a storm, and the way the port deals with them. A film produced by the Hasbarah arm of the Prime Ministers office (Israeli Film Service).
