Since its establishment in 1949, Kibbutz Gadot has endured severe shooting by the Syrian army, enduring heavy bombings multiple times. Residents lived in shelters for extended periods, dug ditches, and constantly rebuilt their destroyed homes and farms.
The film unfolds the story of the kibbutz through the perspective of Ofer, a child who recounts life under the shadow of the Syrian threat and the changes in the Kibbutz following the Six-Day War. After the IDF’s occupation of the Golan Heights, where the Syrians used to attack the kibbutz, the shooting and bombing ceased. As a result, the kibbutz rebuilt itself, and life started returning to normal.
