An excerpt from the film Coming Back to Life produced by the Israel film service in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, which accompanies IDF disabled veterans injured during their military service, from their admission to the Rehabilitation Department till their return to independent functions. This excerpt presents the personal rehabilitation story of David Badosa, a 23-year-old injured on the 5th of June in the Gaza Strip by stepping on a mine. He was taken to the rehabilitation center, where he became acquainted with his girlfriend after she came to visit her cousin who was hospitalized as well. David speaks about his return to independent functioning and about his feelings. He visits the beach with his girlfriend, where he removes his prostheses in the water, plays paddle ball, and races anyone who doesnt mind competing on one leg.
