The film Steel Men, which was produced by the Israeli Film Service, describes the conquest of northern Samaria and the Golan Heights during the SixDay War. During the campaign, the only armored battle between the IDF and the Jordanian army took place in the Dotan Valley, during which a small armored force encountered a difficult battle with significant casualties against the Jordanian Armored Brigade. Despite the many landings and casualties, the IDF force managed to repel the Jordanian forces, occupy the Nablus area, Take control of the Jordan Valley and conquer the Golan Heights. In sixty hours of incessant fighting, the Israeli Armored Brigade succeeded in destroying 2 Jordanian brigades and hit fifty out of one hundred and twenty Patton tanks in which it fought.
