A documentary film in the series “The Seam Line” produced by the Israel Film Service. This series of seven documentaries explores peace and identity within the framework of the Oslo Accords, which aimed to bring a permanent solution to the pending issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Following signing the agreement, the Israel Film Service enlisted top documentary filmmakers to produce a series that would document, hear, and understand the process and its implications.
Director-cinematographer Reuven Heker accompanies the operational activities of a paratrooper company for a year, serving alternately in Lebanon and Hebron. The young soldiers’ exposure to centers of violence, during ongoing security activities in a foreign country and in the occupied territories, creates an intimate, striking portrayal that touches exposed nerves and raises difficult questions
