Streets with deserted housing and destroyed electrical poles. Signs on buildings including Negev Industry, Jewish Agency for Israel, Jewish National Fund, Negev Hotel, Afikim Ltd. Three men exit a building, including Jerusalem Mayor Daniel Oster. Workers wait on trucks and work at a construction site. An audience at a tree planting ceremony by a sign reading: Expanded Beer Sheva Area, Redeemed by Canadian Jewry, via the Jewish National Fund. Photographers document the event. Yosef Weitz speaks.
