Celebrating twenty-five years since Netanyas founding. President Yitzhak Ben Zvi visits to mark the event. The president is received by Mayor Oved Ben Ami, municipality members and an honor guard. The president and his entourage pass through the city streets. A crowd in the streets greets the President with applause and flowers. Ben Zvi enters the Sharon Cinema and the audience stands and cheers. Immigrants who settled in Netanya enter the stage to exchange handshakes with the president. Mayor Oved Ben Ami speaks and awards the president with an honorary citizen certificate. The president speaks and the audience applauds. Archival footage from the establishment of Netanya in 1929. The first tent camp of the Bnei Binyamin Organization, the cornerstone laying of the Netanya village and the first street built in the village. Current life in Netanya. A bustling city center and the citys new suburbs. Activity in factories producing batteries, leather goods, diamonds and furniture. Tourists in restaurants and in the Park and Metropol hotel lobbies. Residents walk in a public park. A grove on Netanya beach. Vacationers swim and play in the water. Jubilee celebrations ending with youths dancing in city squares at night.
