A documentary produced for Kibbutz Nitzanim to mark 23 years since its establishment and settlement of the land.
In the area of the kibbutz, which was built twice, before and after the War of Independence, are scattered the graves of those killed in the fierce battle between the few defenders of the settlement and the Egyptian army forces – battalions, tanks, and cannons. The defenders of the settlement and the young members of the kibbutz, who were evacuated on the eve of the Egyptian attack as children on the shoulders of kibbutz members, are interviewed and tell about the battle, against the backdrop of footage taken by the Egyptian army upon entering the kibbutz, and pass on to future generations the history of the kibbutz and commemorate its fighters who fell in battle.
