A short documentary film, produced by the Israeli Film Service, unveils the richness of the archaeological site of the Ophel in the Old City of Jerusalem. Recent excavations have revealed stunning findings documenting 4,000 years of settlement, from the time of King Solomon to Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Among the discoveries are an Umayyad palace from the 8th century, Byzantine houses with mosaic floors from the 6th and 7th centuries, water cisterns, 2,000-year-old stairs leading to the Temple Mount, and more.
