A documentary film produced by the Israeli Film Service.
In June 1944, during World War II, 222 Dutch Jews who were imprisoned in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp were transported via train across Europe to Atlit, Palestine. They were part of a prisoner exchange deal between Germany and Britain, in which Britain sent German Templers living in Palestine back to Germany. The film describes the journey of two groups and includes interviews with those who underwent the journey, along with archival footage.
