Episode 12 of a series of educational clips about traffic safety, produced by the Ministry of Transport and the National Council for Accident Prevention. Each episode opens with a brief, humorous cartoon illustrating the subject of the clip, starring the Traffic Safety Mouse – a character adapted from a German cartoon from the 1970s titled “Die Sendung mit der Maus” (“The Program with the Mouse”). This episode features a girl hurrying to cross the road at a crosswalk and pressing the traffic light button, but instead of waiting for the light to turn green, she runs across and encounters an oncoming vehicle. The narrator reminds the viewer that when you interact with a traffic light button, you should wait for the pedestrian light to turn green before crossing.
