Hannah, a young girl living in the Kastel Ma’abara, is dependent on crutches when walking yet objects to receiving medical treatment. The film tells Hannah’s healing process, showcasing the Ma’bara’s health station and the dedicated care of the staff of the innovative Hadassah de Rothschild University Hospital, which resided at the time on Nevi’im street. The team takes care of her orthopedically and psychiatrically, until Hannah manages to overcome her dependence and become a dancer under the guidance of Hasia Levy-Agron, and later on in the university dance troupe.
