An informative video in the Amharic language produced by the Israel Film Service on behalf of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and the Aliya Department of the Jewish Agency.
The video aims to explain the importance of buying an apartment and the process involved in purchasing one, as well as to assist those who need it.
In the eighties and early nineties, members of the Ethiopian community who arrived in Israel were housed in temporary dwelling solutions such as caravan sites. However, the state now offers grants and low mortgages to enable them to purchase their own apartments and leave temporary housing behind.
The video features interviews with integration experts and community members who have already undergone the process. It aims to help and guide those who are interested in purchasing their own apartments through the various stages of the real estate purchase process, making it easier for them to take this significant step towards integration into Israeli society.
