This short documentary film was produced for the Ministry of Education, the Pedagogy Administration and the Pre-Elementary Education Department by the Israeli Film Service. A particularly young “TV reporter” (portrayed by Tom Ozeri) prepares an exposé on kindergarten complexes for an imaginary children’s channel. He interviews Rachel (Rocha) Zelnik, the principal of a kindergarten complex in Ramat Gan, who explains that running multiple kindergarten units in one complex allows for resource pooling, mainly benefiting the children; she also details various advantages that make kindergarten complexes preferable to regular kindergartens. The reporter also interviews a mother of two children who attend the kindergarten complex, who is pleased with the multiple age groups permitted in the complex, since this allows for continuity. Later, the young reporter interviews Zvi Bar, the Mayor of Ramat Gan who made the kindergarten complex possible, and even children from the kindergarten who share their favorite activities. The architect who designed the kindergarten complex, Giora Rotman, explains the structural advantages of the complex, and a Ramat Gan elementary school teacher shares that first-graders who have attended kindergarten complexes begin school at a higher level.
