3000 Torah books are being donated from Romania in a delivery that arrived in Israel. The donation is by the Romanian Jewish community and with the help of the Romanian government. The operation is assisted by the Chief Rabbi of Romanian Jewry, Rabbi Moshe Rosen. The Torah scrolls are from abandoned synagogues in Romania, whose communities were extinct in the Holocaust. After they are examined, they are delivered to synagogues where Torah scrolls are missing. At a special ceremony held in the Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem, with the presence of Rabbi Moshe Rosen, Minister of Religion Zarakh Verhaptig, and other rabbis. In the audience are sitting men who are holding the donated Torah scrolls. Thanksgiving prayer at the Western Wall. In the background are cantorial episodes by cantor Shalom Rosenberg.
