The film “Silvan Verdia”, which was produced by the Israeli Film Service, tells the story of Sylvan, a new immigrant from France. Silvan tells about his life in Paris where he worked as a taxi driver. He lost his family in Auschwitz and felt anti-Semitism in France, so he decided to immigrate to Israel. Silvan talks about his difficulties of absorption in Israel, the language problems, the difficulty in finding a job that matches his skills, and the loneliness he faces. Despite all the difficulties, he continues with hope for a brighter future.
