View of the city of Nazareth after its occupation by IDF forces on July 1948 during the Israeli War of Independence. IDF Soldiers in Command-cars patrol the city streets, while signs in Hebrew are hung at the holy sites of Christianity outside the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation (also known as Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Gabriel) alongside Marys Well. IDF soldiers accompany clerics from the Greek Orthodox Church on their way, and a cleric opens the door of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation displaying the space to the camera. Arab men carry a dead body laid on a stretcher. On the Nazareth-Afula road, IDF soldiers patrol the road, and the sign leading to Nazareth states that the road is closed.
