The ceremony of signing the armistice of Saint Jean dAcre, which is Frances surrender agreement to Britain, under which the control of Syria and Lebanon was handed over to Britain during World War II. The agreement was signed at the Sydney-Smith Barracks, an army camp outside Acre.
