Documentation produced by the Israel Film Service of the military parade in the streets of Tel Aviv on the seventh Independence Day of the State of Israel. Over half a million spectators witnessed the parade on the streets and balconies. At the head of the parade were 46 jeeps carrying the nits of the units and brigades, with the airforce flyover air show above them. Sherman and AMX-13 tanks and 155mm cannons purchased in France were shown for the first time. Also, the debut of the Israeli Uzi submachine gun took place. After that, the infantry column marched, among them a unit from the officers’ school and the IDF band. The event culminated at Ramat Gan Stadium with a ceremony awarding the 70 settlements that had been under siege during the War of Independence and concluded with a speech by David Ben-Gurion.
