A short documentary in English and Hebrew produced by the Israel Film Service. This film tells the story of three Jewish families who immigrated from the United States to Israel: the Levins, the Idels, and the Sylvetskys. David and Hava Levin settled in Pardes Hana Karkur. David became involved in local politics, eventually being elected as the mayor. The Idels settled in Zichron Yaakov, integrating into the local community. Dov and Rochel Sylvetsky settled in one of the new neighborhoods in Jerusalem. The three couples share their experiences of immigrating with their children, assimilating into Israeli society, the cultural differences between the US and Israel, and the longing for their families left behind abroad. Despite the challenges, they all feel that they have finally found their true home in Israel.
