Documentation of the first official visit of a head of a foreign state to Israel. Prime Minister of Burma U Nu lands at Lod Airport on the 29th of May 1955. The next day, the visitor is received at Prime Minister Moshe Sharetts office. The same day, U Nu lays a wreath of Theodor Herzls grave in Jerusalem and takes a tour of the Conquest of the Desert exhibition with Minister of Development Dov Yosef and Minister of Agriculture Peretz Naphtali. Later on, U Nu visits settlements across the country and finally meets with members of the Tel Aviv City Council at the Town Hall. Many citizens cheer U Nus convoy as it drives past Israels cities.
