Director Ayelet Bargur’s film graduation project from Tel Aviv’s Camera Obscura School of Arts made the official selection for the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner section. The premise: an elderly husband and wife embark on a sad, albeit entertaining tour of a vast cemetery, in search of a ‘top notch’ burial plot. The film truly comes into its own in a scene that finds the couple having a ‘perfectly delightful’ picnic at the exact spot where they intend to have their headstones set.
