Film and reality intertwine in director Moshe Zimerman’s film which follows the lives of young bohemian urbanites, including a film lecturer and their students, a model, political activists, a barrister, an eccentric gay man, journalists, and musicians. They all get together in a Tel Aviv pub to celebrate their friend, Naama’s birthday. Except Naama is a no show so in the meantime, the gang find themselves discussing and musing about politics, art, film, sex, and life itself. As the night draws on, the power dynamics within the young group start to shift. It seems as though the more time they spend together, the lonelier they get – as a profound sense of alienation gradually sets in.
