Director Oded Davidoff’s feature-length debut is a stylised crime comedy, the script for which was co-written by Limor Nachmias and Gal Zaid – the latter of whom has a starring role in the film. The plot, itself, is loosely based on Nachmias’s best-selling novel, Pinch Me.
The intricate plot follows Aya (Yael Hadar), a retired criminal-turned-police officer. Reuben (Alon Aboutboul), her commanding officer who is also her lover sends her on an undercover mission to catch Patrick Saroussi (Gal Zaid) – a felon under house arrest, awaiting his trial – red-handed, before he can assassinate any of the witnesses who have turned state’s evidence against him and are about to testify. Aya shows up at the complex where Patrick lives and sets herself up in a flat-share with stoner Yiftach (Tomer Sharon), his sister Shuli (Dalit Kahan, who won an Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film) – a female orgasm scholar, and their batshit crazy cat.
Aya has a row with Reuben who seems both unwilling and unable to leave his wife or make Aya climax. When it finally dawns on her that he is perfectly happy to throw her under the bus to solve the case and catch a criminal, Aya decides to toss out the playbook and change the rules of the game.
