The film follows “Ot.Chaim” (“A Living Letter”), a moving commemorative project that brings together designers, families, and fallen soldiers through their handwriting. The initiative was created by Leah Marmurstein-Yerhi, a graphic designer who joined forces with a group of font designers and the families of the fallen. Together, they transformed handwritten letters into a free digital font, now used in countless ways — a living tribute that preserves the memory and humanity of those we’ve lost.
The film won second prize for documentary in the Wim Van Leer Competition for High School Students.
The prize is sponsored by the David Herman Film Award.
