Directed by: Gili Meisler

Director Gili Meisler revisits his interview subjects from his 2009 film, Fireflies, which chronicled a long journey that began with the death of his brother, Giorah, in active duty during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Fractures is a patchwork of testimonials, memories, and intimate accounts of individuals who’d been through the war in various divisions and different roles, and whose wounds have yet to heal. Conversations with the different interviewees paint an increasingly clear picture, both of the Yom Kippur War as experienced by those soldiers who were there on the ground, and the deep societal fracture in Israel that followed after the war, whose impact is still felt to this day.
