The government convenes to discuss the Rogers Plan, which proposes a ceasefire between Israel and Egypt and Jordan and will end the War of Attrition. Prime Minister Golda Meir arrives to discuss the Governments decision. Meeting with her are Chief of Staff Haim Bar-Lev, Foreign Minister Abba Eban, Minister Shimon Peres, Defense Minister Moshe Dayan, Minister of Transport Ezer Weizman, Minister of Immigration and Absorption Natan Peled, Minister of Trade and Industry Yosef Sapir, Minister of Education and Culture Yigal Allon, Finance Minister Pinchas Sapir, and Minister Menachem Begin. Following the meeting, the ministers give interviews to the media. It is reported that the government is inclined to accept the Rogers Plan for a ceasefire agreement for 3 months, despite its desire for an indefinite ceasefire.
