The first Etzel pilot course in Israel in Lod. The school that Moshe Chaim Katz directed and founded. Crowd gathered by the Lod airport building. Fireman band playing. A parade of Betar youth club, Zevulun Yordei yam, Maccabi, Scouts. Their leader tells them to sit. Taking turns by the flag. The pilot (flight instructors): Efraim Katz and A. Leibovitz doing a flight example in the sky to the crowd. The plane lands. High Commissioner MacMichael speaks. Zvi Shechterman (later, a member of Knesset) by his side. Officer Crosbi the governor of Gaza and Southern district. The Tel Aviv Chief Rabbi Amiel speaking. MacMichael shakes Sephardic Chief Rabbi Uziels hand. Mr Gambley calls the names of the pilots. In this first Pilot course there were six, among them: Yosefi, Barash, Yatzran, Blank, Stinberg, Kahana. MacMichael gives a diploma to the pilot Binyamin Kahana.
