Kurt Raveh arrived in Kibbutz Dor in the 1970s, following his South American adventures as a rescue pilot. He fell in love with the place and started taking part in underwater archaeological excavations in the area. Raveh and his mates dug out of the sea a range of relics and artefacts from various periods of history, and with the help of the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Ministry of Education, started a small museum in the kibbutz. This is a well-documented video account of both underwater and overground digs which highlights the beauty of the whole area in the early 1980s and of course, all the main players behind the museum venture.
