They come from all corners of the globe every summer and get together in a tiny countryside home next to a picturesque lake in Northern Poland: Polish-born Jews who were banished from their native land in 1968, following an official, premeditated anti-Semitic attack that took place on the heels of the nationwide student riots that had swept through the country, and Israel’s Six-Day War. The group’s summerhouse was once the home of renowned film critic, Irit Shmgar’s late father. Shamgar, who is also the film director, shows up at the scene and begins cleverly documenting the attendants of this annual get-together.
